Armstrong, BC · Seeking re-election in 2026

Rooted in Armstrong, committed to its future.

I'm running for a second term as mayor, focused on responsible planning, infrastructure renewal, community well-being, and long-term financial sustainability.

Planning Infrastructure Affordability Community services Accountability

I believe in this community, in what we can accomplish, and in the work still ahead. I'm proud of what Council and I have achieved, and I'd be grateful for the opportunity to continue serving as your mayor.

Positions

Where I stand

Six plain answers to the questions Armstrong residents ask most.

On taxes

Planning does not create the cost; it reveals it so we can manage it responsibly.

On infrastructure

The least responsible option is waiting until something fails.

On growth

I support thoughtful growth that fits Armstrong, not growth at any cost.

On accountability

Every major decision should be measured by long-term value for Armstrong residents.

On affordability

Affordability means making practical decisions that protect services without waste.

On services

Residents deserve reliable services today and responsible planning for tomorrow.

In the community

Out talking with Armstrong

I believe there's no substitute for a personal connection. I first called Armstrong home in the 1980s and graduated from Pleasant Valley Secondary School. I loved this community so much that when I retired in 2018, I came back to make it home again.

Record

Our achievements

Council and I have focused on responsible planning, infrastructure renewal, community well-being, and long-term financial sustainability.

Planning
Advanced and updated the Official Community Plan to guide responsible growth, housing, transportation, parks, and services.
Infrastructure
Ensured roads, utilities, facilities, and essential services are the center of long-term budget and asset-management planning.
Transparency
Strengthened transparency through public meetings, annual reporting, and livestreamed Council meeting access.
Responsiveness
Improved communication and service responsiveness between City staff and residents.
Livability
Supported parks, recreation, public safety, livability, and services that matter to Armstrong families.
Funding
Secured major outside funding, including wastewater infrastructure support and revitalization grants, to reduce pressure on local taxpayers.
Reconciliation
Advanced respectful communication with First Nations and supported reconciliation through listening, relationship-building, and meaningful community action.

“Lasting change takes time, and a second term would allow me to keep building a stronger, more modern city government that is better prepared, better organized, and better equipped for the future. I am asking for your support so we can keep moving forward together.”
